Privacy Policy
Last updated:
BlockFit is a fitness app built by an independent developer. This policy explains what
the app collects, why, and the control you have. The short version: your training and
nutrition data is yours, we don't sell it, and we don't track you across other apps or
websites.
What we collect
- Account info — your email, and a display name/username you choose, to sign you in and power the social features.
- Fitness & nutrition data you enter — workouts, sets, body weight, measurements, food logs, water, photos, and goals. This is the core of the app.
- Apple Health data you grant — read access to body weight (and optional metrics) and write access for workouts/weight, only if you connect Apple Health. It stays on your device and your private account; we never share it.
- Anonymous usage analytics — basic, non-identifying product analytics (which screens are used) to improve the app. This is optional and can be turned off any time in Settings → Anonymous analytics. We do not use this for advertising or cross-app tracking.
How it's stored
Your account and data are stored on our backend provider (Supabase) with row-level
security, so your records are only accessible to you and — for content you explicitly
share or post — the people you share it with. Progress photos are kept in a private
storage bucket and shown to you through short-lived signed links; they are never public.
What's public vs. private
Nothing is public by default beyond what you choose. Posts, your public profile card,
and leaderboard standing are visible to the community only when your profile is
discoverable and you share publicly. Progress photos, measurements, and your food logs
are always private. You can block other users, and blocked accounts become mutually
invisible.
What we never do
- We never sell your data.
- We never share your personal or health data with advertisers.
- We don't track you across other companies' apps or websites.
Your controls
- Turn off analytics any time in Settings.
- Delete your account from Settings → Delete account. This permanently erases your profile, logs, photos, and posts.
- Disconnect Apple Health in the iOS Health app at any time.
